Manager, Business Planning

Manage daily operations of business planning for Medicare programs. Responsible for the development and ongoing oversight of segment strategy and operating plans. This is inclusive of market intelligence and insights across all aspects of segment functions, assessment of capabilities requiring investment, championing of special projects, and ongoing oversight and monitoring of progress through various management processes and reporting mechanisms.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide direction and guidance to staff. Set goals, review and evaluate work, and prepare performance reviews.
• Manage business planning direct reports whose responsibilities span scope of accountabilities within this description.
• Lead assessment and standing-up of special projects as they transition to ongoing operations.
• Lead and manage team members, leading programs within segment purview.
• Provide development and ongoing oversight of segment operating plans and long-term strategies that span value chain in conjunction with segment leadership.
• Monitor segment best practices, industry and competitive intelligence, and health policy and legislative impacts at both the state and federal level.
• Recommend and facilitate development of segment reporting through identification of key metrics and performance indicators and partnering with teams to build views necessary to manage ongoing business and strategic execution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A combination of education and related experience.
• Five to seven years of experience in market research or a strategic planning capacity.
• Three to five years of management experience or experience leading a team.
